Fulton Hogan Ashburton are getting more than double the hours out of EnduroBlade than their previous loader edges.
Their latest EnduroBlade is close to clocking up 3,000 hours on the job.
Back in 2018, quarry manager Andy Mitchell had only been averaging around 800 hours from his standard loader edges.
He agreed to trial a 50mm EnduroBlade edge for his Volvo 250G loader to assess if it was both higher performing and more cost-effective for his operation.
Andy closely tracked the hours on the EnduroBlade against his standard edges, and was careful to match the working conditions they were used under.
The final results were undeniable.
Same job and operator loading 2,300 ton per day, EnduroBlade lasted over 1,800 hours! This incredible wear life makes EnduroBlade very economical for us.
The quarry has switched to using EnduroBlade on all their loaders. Their L180H with L220 bucket is running an EnduroBlade that’s close to ticking over an incredible 3,000 hours.
